The key to running XP successfully is lots of RAM, about 512, at the least. Of course XP would not work on an old Pentium 166 or 200 with the much older and slower DIMM RAM. In fact a computer that old needs to be tossed in the trash. However, I have herd of 233 PII's running XP as long as it had at least 512 megs of RAM. On the other hand, a PII computer that old (as well as your K-6) and slower would not be able to run IE6 or IE7, so you would be forced to use the much riskier IE5 to surf the web. Anyway, to answer your question, yes the K-6 would run XP with enough RAM.

Yes, but why would you want it to? A K6-2 is a turtle, in a world of cheetahs and gazelles. You're much better off running Windows 98 or 98SE on any system that old.
