i live in the bay area and i love my warriors. my answer is, it depends. will the new warriors be able to learn the offense? will they mesh together? when JRich comes back will someone like sjax take a backseat? sarunas was coached by nellys son in lithuania and is a good PG in a uptempo system. sjax is a notorious warrior killer. harrington is who weve been going after all summer and finally get him. personally i like this trade, i honestly think both teams benefit even tho it looks as if the warriors raped the pacers on paper. ike diogu is elton brand in the making without the blocks. the guy is a great low post player, has a consistent 15 ft jumpshot, good rebounder, and a good player and good guy overall. but he has his weaknesses, he couldnt learn the offense in GS which is why he was on the bench, he doesnt know how to pass out of a double team, he gets in foul trouble alot, he is very undersized for a PF but in the east it shouldnt be too big of a problem and ike plays limited defense but that shouldnt matter since jermaine is next to him. getting rid of doneleavy and smurf is great and frees up space to sign ellis and biedrins to long term deals. the warriors are still a very young and inexperienced team and they will learn to mesh this year. i dont expect them to make the playoffs this year i think the will finish 9 or 10 with a about .500 record. but i will expect them to make the playoffs next year especially if the kings and clippers continue to play badly.

To start this off, I have been a Warriors fan all of my life. I have liked J-Rich for a long time, Baron Davis was needed, and Monta and Barnes are great players who have a role on the team. Pietrus is out performing Murph and Dunleavy. Same with Biedrins, he is playing exceptional. If the Warriors practice their free throws more often, and do that big trade, no doubt they will make the playoffs

I am going to have to go with your prediction 100 percent.
The pros of Indiana most definitly have to go to Troy Murphy. Now that the Pacers have a center that can shoot as well as rebound, J Oneal will become more open. he will have an easier time taking shots as well as passing assist.
However...
In Golden State, i think that Coach Don Nelson love the typical Western style of playing whereas it is a full court game. A Harrington and S Jackson can play better with running the court and with pure speed and talent. Now the team is closer to being like the Suns. I didnt say they are identical but they are definitly closer with runners like Harington and Jackson in place of Murphy and Dunleavy.
Murph and MD jr are better players to be playing the half court game. Look at T Murphys stats last yr. He was a Double Double King. Since Coach Nelson took over GS, Troy has been struggling. Troy could get his playing style back now that hes in the East coast with the Pacers.
But defintly the Warriors have a much better turn out then the Pacers.

Personallly i think the Warriors with J-rich ,baron davis, harrington, stephen jackson, monta ellis.matt barnes, become a lot stronger. I think the pacers got weaker i don't think dunleavy and murphy are difference maker i think they are just overpaid guys. However that kid IKE DIego has a Future starter written all over him

The Warriors will, especially when Nellie gets his rotation down and J-Rich comes back.
I don't think the Pacers are done dealing, because as it looks now, Ike Diogu is the only good player they got. Murphy is average at best, and Dunleavy is a few steps from being out of the league.

Yeah, I agree with you. With Monta Ellis, Matt Barnes, Baron Davis, Jason Richardson, Andris Biedrins, and now you throw in the 3-point specialist Al Harrington and also Stephen Jackson, you have yourself a playoff-contending team. They're going to make the playoffs for sure.

I agree with you all the way. Dunleavy and Murphy both are high draft picks, and both busts. They can't bust a 3 ball like they were expected to. However Ike Diogu has a promising future, his game and size is often compared to Elton Brand. It'll be sick to see Jermaine playing the 1, and Ike playing the 2 spot.

probably not for both teams. for pacers, nets are closing in for 7th and miami is closing in as well for playoff. and for the warriors..... just not this year... in a competitive western conference, it would probably still reach .500 but playoff wont invite them. nuggets gon have carmelo back and they will make a run for 8th seed or up.
