I'm a Scorpio and get along very well with my Aries brother. I also have an Aries ascendant so I'm sure that helps. You might check into your childrens Moons and ascendant signs too. Aries and Scorpio have more of an affinity than most other inconjunct signs (5 signs apart - or sharing neither element or modality) because they are both ruled by the planet Mars (Mars is co-ruler of Scorpio).

They might not get along too well, because both Scorpio and Aries are a fixed sign meaning that they are very independent, and does not change in personality usally while growing up. They both think they are right and they both are leaders.
An Aries has this attitude is usually "I'm # 1" and this really gets Scorpios mad, typically.
But even so signs can get warped, and naturally they will grow to get along a least a bit.

compatibility between them will be great (other than the normal sibling rivalry) so good in fact you need to take a look @the signs of your partner and yourself to make sure you can prepare for when they team up against you or cover for each other.
