If you had an embarrassing name...would you change it?

I don't think I would.

By the time I was old enough to legally change it, I'd probably be used to it.

I haven't always liked my real name, I've wanted to change my name before, but really, that would cost way too much money, because if I changed my real name, I'd had to go through changing my birth certificate, and other very important documentation.

It would have to be really embarrassing. I would just come up with a cool nickname and pray no one found out what my real name was.

Who calls it embarassing? There will be sniggers at some point or the other of one's life - even about names like Dick and Harry or Jack and Jill. So why bother?

Yes. My original name was Stink Azzbreath until I changed it to Elwood Blues. I noticed a remarkable change in my social life.
Go figure.

That depends...if my name were Clia Torris I definitely would change it. If it were just ugly, like Griselda, I guess I would keep it and maybe use a nickname.

I don't know...maybe or I'd just go by another name. I wouldn't want to insult my mother, so I wouldn't change it legally, but I wouldn't let people call me Petunia or Gertrude.

You bet. I don't know if I'd get it legally changed, I might just start telling people my name was something else.
