Yes, kids are going to have sex whether you want them to or not. Keeping condoms away from them makes it more likely they'll contract an STD--they'll have sex either way.

If they're old enough to physically have sex and get pregnant (or get someone pregnant) then they are indeed old enough to get birth control!!! Let's face it folks: The reality is that PEOPLE HAVE SEX WHO ARE NOT MARRIED. It doesn't matter if you think it's wrong; they do it. So, why not prevent not only pregnancy but STD's. Also, I can't see a better way to reduce abortions (and I'm pro-choice). For these reasons, teens should be able to get free condoms AT SCHOOL or anywhere else for that matter.

Yes...but not just sitting there in the BR or something,I think the school nurse should be able to give them out.As a parent,we know that what our children do may not always be what we would choose for them.If my child chooses to have sex,I would rather he be safe than getting an STD or getting a girl pregnant.I would buy them for my child if he asked me to,but other kids might not be able to go to their parents about something like this.Kids are going to have sex,why not make them safer.

It seems to me that free condoms make sense; kids don't always have a lot of money, and might decide to do without if they can't afford them. If they're free, theyr'e most likely to be used. Kids are going to have sex, no matter what; more condoms = fewer unwanted babies, in my opinion.

We need to do everything we can to keep the number of single, teen aged mothers from going down. How is our nation going to function as a democracy of don't keep raising generations of hand - out dependent voters. Keep those illegitimate babies coming, folks. The construction industry needs more government housing work!

Absolutely not!! Kids should not be encouraged to have sex. The destruction of morals in our society happened when birth control and abortion became the norm; and then when there was no fear of getting pregnant anymore the the sexual inhibitions decline and the younger generations grow up believing sex out of marriage is not wrong. Then when they start giving sex ed to elementary school kids and distributing condoms in high school, our kids will be lost.

I think it would be great PR for the condom companies to do so. The confusion and misconceptions that abstinence only teaching is causing is reeking havoc on our kids. (It doesn't work anyways, because kids are "doing everything but vaginal intercourse" so they are having oral and anal sex without condoms.)

They need to be taught how to have safe sex which includes both birth control and condoms.

No, they should have to buy them like any one else. The schools can't give my kid an aspirin without a doctor's notice even if I supply it and give them permission o administer it, but free birth control? Give me a break.

Schools need to concentrate on education.

I think the schools should make the kids getting them inform their parents before recieving them. But they should be free, because a high school parent isn't good.
