You REALLY wanna know??!! Well, I've been a mental health professional for 20+ years, now retired, and I can tell you EXACTLY how to do it. You ready?! Okay. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. DON'T TRY TO BE A "UNIQUE" INDIVIDUAL, OR SOMEONE EVERYONE LOOKS UP TO!! As MusicLover said in her answer, or inferred in her answer, BE YOURSELF!! When you do that, THEN AND ONLY THEN will you be that person that everyone looks up to, even if you never see them doing that. Believe me, these "copycat" wannabe stars or wannabe celebrities are shallow, sickening, sorry excuses for individuals. You be yourself, and you definitely will be unique in this cheap, commercial culture. And you, eventually, will also look up to you, as someone who has been their own person, and stood their own ground, and made it in life. I wish God's Blessings on you always. You'll be someone well worth my respect. God Bless you.

You do not need to BECOME unique because you ARE unique; there has never been anyone like you previously and there never will be in the future! As for being someone whom people look up to, I imagine that you mean whom people respect and admire, aspire to emulate. In my opinion that would require you to be honest, a loyal friend, dependable, kind, plus educated, imaginative, and creative (if possible). You can be however you wish to be; only you know what that means to you. Don't concentrate upon what you perceive as your limitations but have confidence that you can realize your goals! Good luck!

First of all, you need to address your inferiority complex.
Everyone is unique, each in their own way.
Don't be concerned with "everyone looking up to you", focus on being able to look at yourself and saying " I am the somebody I would look up to".
