I was reading with interest that a 35 day "sovernty" patrol with the Canadian Navy was cancelled due to funding, but was now reinstated due to public outcry. Should Canada's sovernty be at stake due to lack of funding .... as Canadians, should we not have more patrols rather than less in this world of uncertainty?

The Conservatives constantly harped about the Liberals not being concerned about defense. It seems that it was just the pot calling the kettle black. Not much has changed in the last couple years, has it? They cannot even be trusted to maintain a credible defense or a minimum naval presence to maintain our sovereignty.
