In all seriousness does anyone know why they hung Saddam? When I saw the headlines in the newspaper I was shocked it was almost as if they asked him how he'd perfer to die. Think of all of the people who suffered as they died I think Saddam got off easy does anyone agree or disagree I'd like to hear your opinons.

Nowhere in the question did she ask anything about Timothy McVeigh... The question was referring to Saddam Hussein, who killed many, many, many people, and did it slowly and with torture. His sons raped virgin brides in front of their new husbands. He used mustard gas on people. He was not normal. Neither is anyone who is so upset over George Bush being our Pres that they are willing to put America at risk... I want people like that out of this country... I want America back.

They hung Saddam due to the nasty things he had and has done to the people he was a leader of....he murdered people because they didn't have the same beliefs as him and for a botched assassination plot...he murdered a whole town because of it....yes he did get off easy...too easy....

i wrote an answer like this to a similar question:
recently tony blair made a statment about the killing of hussein (which he beleives was wrong) it bascially was : we use the horrible things as an excuse for killing him in such a cruel mannar. yet, we should not use his horrible death as an excuse for horrible things that he did.
i think that killing him in such a cruel mannar did not prove, or justify any point. showing hate of a person through killing them in a really cruel way really confuses me. there is also the question of why leathal injection wasn't used.

Ask the Iraqi's. They are the ones that tried him, found him guilty, sentenced him to death and carried out the sentence. And yes, he got off easy. He was given a fair trial. Something his victims never got.

I have no idea. I have respect for all human life, and I'm against torture of the miniscule elements of terrorist groups, like at Abu Grabe.

However, I think that the best sentence to give a criminal like Tim McVeigh or Osama bin Laden is to put them in a cell, highly monitored, in public for 2 hours a day for the rest of their life, where anyone who wants can have a bout with them.

They hung because that was Iraqi law. All the U.S. did was find him, hold him in jail and when it came time for his execution, we handed him over to the Iraqi people.

I was under the impression that hanging was the required punishment, given the crime for which he was charged.
