was it just me or was that movie totally OVER RATED?!?!?!

It was a good movie but too much hype about Beyonce. Don't get me wrong she's talented but Jennifer Hudson has raw talen. MO Eddie and Jennifer deserved the golden globe adwards. Jamie did ok too.

It isn't just you. The only performances that I can say that I truly enjoyed were Eddie Murphy's and Anika Noni Rose. While Jennifer Hudson was okay as Effie, I don't think she topped Jennifer Holiday's rendition of "And I Am Telling You". Jamie Foxx was competent in his role and Beyonce was forgettable. I did like Danny Glover who is always good in my opinion. Keith Robinson as Effie's brother, C.C. was good also.

I think some of the scenes were overrated but I don't think the movie was. I think that the scene where they kicked Effie out of the group was overrated because they all joined in to sing to her (kind of annoying), I think the scene where Deana made Effie's song 'One Night Only' was overrated, there were a lot of scenes that were overrated but I think when it boils down to it, Dream Girls will be one of those movies when it comes out on Pay-Per-View or Showtime, it'll be considered annoying because of all the singing.

I just finished the book based on the movie. it was very interesting. I will finally see the movie Friday. It's winning awards so someone likes it.

IT WAS A GOOD MOVIE......IT WAS EVEN BETTER BECAUSE IT WAS A MUSICAL......NOT MANY PEOPLE DO MUSICALS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE LIKED IT.
