It seems a little confusing at first when you are trying to get it set up, but follow the instructions, and know that you can call TIVO if you have problems. And once you get it up and running you will wonder how you lived without it. It's worth the time it takes to get it up and running.

not difficult at all.

the set up is a little bit to get through, especially if you're connecting to the net, as opposed to a phone line. other than that, its simple.

i lived with my grandmother for a few years, and i had one there, and she started having me record things all the time. for christmas last year i bought her one, she's 74 and she loves it. she cant work a computer, she had trouble with vcrs, and hates her cell phone, but she LOVES tivo. its super simple. i wish you could meet the woman for a few moments, you'd be so absolutely certain that you can handle it.

trust me, it'll change how you watch television.

Once it's set up, it takes a while to get the hang of it, but it's not rocket science. The nice thing is that you really can't "wreck" anything by experimenting. You can't accidentally erase anything, because it always prompts you before any erasure.

For me the hardest part was setting it up, but they have great phone and online support. Be aware that it has to have a phone connection, but you can get a wireless phone jack if there's no connection near the TV.

I got it for my 80-year-old mom, and it changed her life (she no longer has to suffer through commercials).
