Unless they specify an "in person" option, it is best to follow whatever protocol the prospective employer sets.

However, if the option is there, and it's possible for you to get there, you have a great chance to gain an advantage by personal application. Take a well presented resume with you, dress sharp and be confident.

Both. If you notice, more companies make you apply online, and this is an actual skill! Believe it or not there are many computer illterate people that still don't know how to work their way out of an email. And if there's a choice for you to apply online or in person, apply online. I guarantee you your application will be acknowledged quicker because someone has to view the apps online and it's usually a recruiter that will fax the apps to a store, or the actual hiring manager. I posted my resume on a few websites like hotjob and snag a job and they called me within the week or two. And on top of that everything will be legible and neat. But if you turn it in, it has a chance of being piled up among the other applicants, and then you have to keep on calling up and checking up on it. Trust me, they will look at it quicker if you do it online. That's showing them that you know how to work your way around a computer and plus more people apply in person than online so that will be to your advantage. Just type your resume and save it to your word processor so you can always have it ready to copy and paste whenever you need it. Honestly it depends on the job. To test it out, do both. Go in person and get your professional look on and apply, and then do some online and see what works for you. Just remain professional at all times and make a good impression and be on your game and know the company you're applying for, that lets them know that you're really wanting to get on instead of just trying to get what you can get even if that is the case. Good luck.

Depends what sort of job you're applying for and what it says in the description. If it says you should apply online, do it online. If there's a phone number, call it and ask for more information, so the employer sort of have an idea about who you are instead of what it just says on your application. Employers are people too and they all have different preferences. Personally, if there's an option for applying online, or through the post, I would go for the post because that way, I have control over what my application looks like. Good luck

It all depends on what job you are applying for. Most companies only require you to apply online. I think that applying in person is a better way, because you get to talk in person and most likely you will get hired if the company is doing on the spot interviews.

In person. It makes for a good first impression, especialyl if you talk to someone involved in the hiring process. Think about it, woud they want someone who actually walks into their building and talks to them about seekign a job, or some person too lazy to do that, so they apply online?

Your call.

IN PERSON.

Employers hire people, not a good resume. Show initiative. Go ask for the job. You will be ahead of everyone else by just telling the employer you need and want a job!

GOOD LUCK!

In person, but so many jobs anymore are using online as the first contact. Often you have no choice.

depends.

if you're wanting to work at a smaller business it'd be better to apply in person, so they know you want the job and that you'll be worth it. it gives you a chance to introduce yourself and show what you have to offer.

but if you're applying for walmart or something (they'll take anybody) it wouldn't matter so much.

depends on what the company wants! most say that they specifically want you to apply online if that's the case. or they'll state they don't want phone calls. visit the company website and do some research before you do ANYTHING
