reform the banking system and kill the federal reserve which is what eats the taxes with interest from the national debt ... the congress could assume responsibility for printing the money and controlling its supply like the federal reserve does now ... only the govt would be funding itself instead of paying private individuals interest to loan the money ... the federal reserve is nothing more than leagalized counterfeiting and the taxpayers foot the interest ... plain and simple ... so income tax is unecessary in all actuality.

2)It will be replaced with a national retail sales tax on all goods and services sold

3)for the poor, an advance monthly rebate of the sales tax on spending up to the federal poverty level- this would lead to another government bureaucracy? How big of a check do you want to give them each month?

4)funding for social security and medicare will be the same
- put an amendment that no funds brought in for social security can be placed in the general fund or touched by congress. Any funds already used shall be replaced by confiscation of all living Congressmen and women past and present, pensions and personal wealth.

1. yea
2. nay - sales tax is at state's discrection, federal government is supported sufficiently by excise taxes already in effect as they were originally authorized
3. n/a - nullified by 2.
4. nay - abolish these as well. Socialist Security benefits are not guaranteed nor contractual and can be altered or eliminated at a whim (Supreme Court has stated this) This is a needless program. If people wish to squander away their money rather than saving for retirement that's their own perogative. Medicare is also unnecessary. The problem here is with the medical industry and the fact that most doctors are doctors to make money, not to make sure their patients stay healthy. Additionally, the FDA and pharmacuetical industry have the same motivation.

Otherwise, I second dze's answer.

I think the richer you are, the less % you get back. The American dream is based off of all being successful, which is why America stands for equality.

If you have a problem with this, you're selfish, and shouldn't vote for a Republican who says government should be based off of what God believes, because this is EXACTLY what He would do. Why does Jesus talk of helping the poor upwards of 30 times in The Book of Matthew alone? More than any other issue discussed in the whole Bible is the importance of helping the poor.

umm that's great and all but you wouldn't have enough cash to fund the government much less social security or medicare.

Taxation by nature can never be fair. After all it involves the taking of money from people who earned it to be given to those who didn't. This can be seen as taking from the Haves and giving to the Have Nots or it can be seen as stealing, depending on your place in this system.

No, Tax everyone at the same rate. It can be small, Repeal all tax cuts and breaks. In otherwords every one pays the same %, churchs, big/small business, everyone. That would fix just about all the problems.
