Take the bus transportation from Downtown Disney. This way, you can park your car for free and take the busses everywhere else. When you arrive at the bus loading area (located near the end of Downtown Disney's Rainforest Cafe), you'll see different loading stations for different places. Wait under the sign of the place you wish to board and you're good to go! Just keep in mind that these busses also make stops along the way, so it may take a while. Plan way in advance to get up early.

If you are staying at a onsite hotel, they have disney transportation thats free.they go to every hotel and attraction on regular schedules. Just ask at the desk when you check in. If you are flying, Disney also provides magical express transfers to and from airport. If your doing no car, all disney is best. You can't really walk to the parks or between parks. Alot of miles. You can use the monorail between some of them. They have a great special running trough June, free park hopper & waterpark access. If you need any help let me know.

If you are staying on property, ask your resort concierge desk for a transportation guide. If you are not staying on property, ask a transportation information booth cast member for one, or ask a guest relations cast member for one. A previous poster is right that transportation between parks is free on Disney property. It is free, but confusing. The routes are direct, but differ in mode depending on the location you leave from and your desired destination. (For example, you'd take a bus from MGM to EPCOT; you'd take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to EPCOT.) And some of the buses to some attractions only leave from on property resorts. If you want to get to Downtown Disney from the Magic Kingdom, you have to get to a nearby resort and take the bus from there--it works that way for the water parks, too. Pleasure Island is a part of Downtown Disney; it is entierly plausible to walk from the Downtown Disney Marketplace, straight through to the West Side if you are in good health. The only thing that may not be mentioned in the Transportation Guide is the Speedway. To get there, you take a shuttle from in front of the Kennel at the TTC (main Magic Kingdom parking area). It's not safe enough to walk across that parking lot. I hope this helps.

There are buses that will take you back and forth between all of them. The only place I know of where you can walk from I think is Downtown Disney to Pleasure Island. I don't suggest you walk, they are all spread pretty far apart. If you are in a hurry, too, there are cabs all over the place. For a couple bucks, you can get where you want to relatively quickly. Have fun. By the way, Disney is a rip off. Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios I think are way worth your money. Alot more fun.

For Walt Disney World -
maps, descriptions and so much information.
I rented a car once - and it sat there all week.
Boats - between epcott & mgm - FREE
Buses everywhere FREE
Monorail FREE
All transportation is between 5, 10 or 15 minutes wait - maximum.
I took the monorail (outside of Magic Kingdom) directly to Epcott, and a couple of times we took it just to see the different resorts - Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary (which is an A-frame) that the monorail goes right through,
get off anywhere you wish.
Boats from Magic Kingdom to Grand Floridian,
Boats from Epcott to Yacht & Beach Club and the Boardwalk resort, and to MGM.
They're usually air conditioned, and so easy .
GOD bless.
