Capello and the rest of the team hate him for not consulting/informing them before signing a big money contract with another team. They take that as disrespect and because of that, Capello says that Becks will never play for Real again. Besides, Becks was hardly even on the bench before this. He's only 3rd choice... How sad for Goldenballs... His age is not a factor really. Take people like Giggs, Makelele and Totti for example. They're in their 30's but are performing very well.

Because Capello didn't want him too. But let's not jump into conclusions. There's a hint that Becks might still play because Real is depleted right now in manpower, and Capello made remarks that he has to be "flexible" in the case of Beckham.

because he's third choice now in the midfield, and that' a big ego blow to Becks, who's always a starter.
besides, at age 31, that's getting long in the tooth for european football. especially for one like Becks, who never had the speed.
