that you dont' want to give in, because it's like admitting you're wrong? and the farther you go in to your defiance, the tougher it is. so in the end, you give in because you have to. you are ashamed.

i feel like that a lot.

Interesting question.

It depends on the situation though. Sometimes giving in can be a positive thing for you and for the ones around you as well.

But I know what you're talking about, I feel like that, too. I'm a pretty stubborn and impulsive person so I just tend to cling to my own beliefs, and if I happen to be tempted to support other people's beliefs, I don't show it. I hate being wrong and you're right, the longer you maintain the facade, the tougher it gets for you. But I only give in if I am actually forced.

Sometimes giving in can be healthy. You can still keep your individuality and relate to other people.

No, I have no problem accepting that I'm far from perfect. I don't decieve myself or others, I'm very up-front and honest, maybe too honest, but that's just me.
