A statute mile is 5280 feet, a nautical mine is 6000 feet (1000 fathoms)
Assuming the question is asked "at the equater" then the following applies:

40,075.02 km is the equatorial circumference of Earth
divide that by 1.6093 to get it in miles (statute) =
24902.255 statute miles
Now, to get this in Nautical miles multiply it by the conversion from above (5280/6000) = 21913.98 Nautical miles.

I heard it was in the general area of 25,000 miles. It could be completely false though.
