There is a walkway between the Disney-MGM Studios and EPCOT which also takes you through several resorts and the Boardwalk. You can also rent small boats to travel along the river that connects the 2 parks. There is a Friendship boat that ferries guests between those parks also. The other parks are not within walking distance, but the buses, monorail, and boats are free to all guests and thtey go to the parks, resorts, water parks, and Downtown Disney.

The only two parks that are within walking distance are the Disney Studios and EPCOT. You can walk along the river and enter at the back entrance of EPCOT, or take the ferry boat which connects the two parks. All of the other parks are so spread out that you would want to take a Disney shuttle bus or take the monorail. Keep in mind that the monorail doesn't go everywhere. It loops around Bay Lake at the Magic Kingdom and also goes to EPCOT and back again. The monorail does not go to the Disney Studios or Animal Kingdom.

The ONLY parks you can walk to from one another are EPCOT and MGM Studios. There are no sidewalks on most of Disney property between parks. This is mostly to protect the guests of the Walt Disney World Resort. Most of the roads are "major" highway-type roads, and Walt Disney World is a protected wildlife conservation area where one third of the land is set aside specifically to let wild local animals roam free.

Besides, after you walk 1.33 miles around the world showcase at EPCOT (for one round-trip), do you really think you'd want to walk home afterward? (Incidentally, Walt Disney World property is twice the size of Manhattan, NY.)

For Walt Disney World -
maps, descriptions and so much information.

You don't have to walk between parks especially since they are so far away.
TRANSPORTATION - is free - and you can go to the resorts too - free transportation - buses to everywhere.
You can take boat rides - epcott park to mgm. free
Monorail - epcott to magic kingdom park free
They have free buses - between parks free!!!!

There is so much action - that you'd waste your time just walking - and especially when it's 80-90+ degrees outside sweating in the hot sun.

I've gone there 3 x in the last three years, and I want to go again this year with my sister-in-law who's 65 and she's never been there - imagine that! She can't wait to go.

GOD bless.

I'm pretty sure they're seperated by a few miles a piece. If you could walk they wouldn't be offering so many rides for everyone.
