I think that its almost inevitable that Iran will have nukes. They are no dount working on them (despite what they say) and they will probably have them within five to ten years.

I doubt diplomacy will work. Neither will sanctions. You can't 'starve the regime' like you cab with North Korea.

And war or military strikes are a ridiculous and dangerous idea.

So will we just have to accept an Iran with nuclear weapons?

I'm sure that in the next few years, both Bush and Ahmadinejad won't be in power anymore. By that time, diplomacy will be the rightful solution. However, the Iranian nuclear aspirations will be irreversible, especially now that Israel hinted that it possessed nuclear weapons. Furthermore, with the events that happened to Iraq, Iran doesn't feel secure anymore. They realized that they would not be safe from invasion. They are now convinced more than ever that possession of nuclear weapons is their only deterrence to any threat. For sure, they will continue to pursue future actions along this line, no matter what the cost.

Possible, yes. Inevitable, no. It can be avoided.

You're right about diplomacy and sanctions. The US has to take a stand and nip this thing in the bud.

And the liberals still don't get the IRAQ problem!

What will happen is either Iran will agree not to develop nuclear weapons or Israel will bomb their nuclear bases, after that happens I dont know.
