I have a 2002 ford escape and I'm thinking my wiper fluid pump is shot. When I try to get the fluid to spray nothing comes out, and i hear no pump going. Where is this pump? I tryed finding it in my Haynes Repair book.

get a chiltons but it should be under or within inches of your resovior.

well its in the bottom of the tank, pull back the wheel well, pull the pump out. it works but the filter screen is blocked up with gooy gunk. clean with hot soapy water or just buy another pump it comes with 1. Washer Pump and Reservoir
Removal and Installation

Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to Section 204-04.
Remove the right front splash shield.
WARNING: Windshield washer solution contains methanol, which is poisonous. Observe all cautions and warnings indicated on the label of the washer solution container. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

NOTE: To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the windshield washer reservoir before removal.

Position the windshield washer reservoir aside.
Remove the bolts.
Position the windshield washer reservoir aside.

Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Disconnect the hoses.
Remove the windshield washer reservoir.

CAUTION: Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
WARNING: Windshield washer solution contains methanol, which is poisonous. Observe all cautions and warnings indicated on the label of the washer solution container. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

Fill the windshield washer reservoir with Ultra-Clear Windshield Washer Concentrate C9AZ-19550-AC or BC or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M17P5-A.

They used to be under the Washer fluid container. Most cars now have submersible pumps inside the washer fluid container. Check there if no one else knows for sure.

the hoses from the pump to the wipers could have a kink in them or they may be clogged. look for the simplest things first

its located in the bottom of the tank,usually on the out side of it,,on your it may be hidden from site,,but if you remove the tank,you,ll see it there on the bottom part of the tank,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

some of them are in where you put the fluid.
