I have heard that there is a program around that gets past itunes, and can go directly from a cd to the ipod. If you hunt a bit you might find it.
If you can't find it, just rip mp3's from the CD then dump them into itunes and onto your 'pod.

When you insert a CD into an iTunes-enabled computer, it should ask you if you want to import it. If it doesn't, pull up the CD in the sidebar menu and click the button in the lower right corner that says to rip it into iTunes. If you're downloading them from iTunes, it will automatically add them to your library. If you're downloading them from other sources, you'll need to manually add them to your library using the File menu.
Once they're in your library, add them to any playlist that you've got synced to your iPod, and they'll automatically upload the next time you sync your iPod with that computer. If you don't have any playlists synced, you can do so by checking the appropriate boxes in the list that comes up under the Music tab when you connect an iPod to be synced. It's that simple.

There should be a cable to connect ipod to pc. Once this is established, insert cd n 2 drive, go to media player on pc. If using Win Media Player, click on sync tab. It should ask to select songs u 1 2 sync or transfer. Make your selections, while dragging to sync or play list. After that click sync. That should do it.
