You have it too bleedin' LOUD & you're gonna end up like me....deaf in one ear...it rings all the time now...never goes away! Then you'll have to deal with ignorant buttholes that make an issue out of your lack of hearing!!!

The volume is too high and causing the little hairs in your ears to be pressed down which casues the ringing sound. The ringing will eventually die down, but the hairs don't ever go up again, and you'll notice it when you're somewhere really quiet. Your ears will start ringing again.

It's too loud, dumbas.s! The rule of thumb is if you can't hear any outside noise, then whatever yu have coming through your earbuds is loud enough to cause your ears damage. Unless you like the idea of goig deaf, turn down the volume. I marched drumline 4 years in high school, and I can tell you from my own experience and the problems the constant exposure to that level of sound gave me that being partially deaf at 19 is really not so fun.

You're listening to it too loud and too long. Turn the volume down, you're hurting your ears. I don't think you'd like to be deaf...u can still enjoy your music and not harm your ears by turning the volume down a little bit.

Please listen to us older folks who cranked up our state of the art (then) Walkmans when we were young, turn your volumn down so when you are older you can enjoy listening in stereo (both ears working) and not with constant, never going away ringing in one ear. It didn't happen right away either, one day 3 years ago, it just went haywire. I was 39 and hadn't used headphones for over 14 years.

Are you a teenager?
Then please take this to heart: Those answers above are correct. The damn volume is too loud. I know you like the music, but turn it down. You can hear it just fine.
The consequence of not heeding our advice is to have shitty hearing the rest of your life. LIKE I DO. I cranked my walkman when I was your age and now I have tinitis (ringing of the ears) all the time. It sucks and I wish someone had told me to turn it down when I was your age.
If you are a normal teenager, you will ignore this. If you are exceptional, perhaps you will take what we are saying as truth.
Your choice!

Most likely the volume is too high. If the ringing persists more then a day you might want to see your doctor. Prolonged exposure to excessive volume will cause permanent damage to your hearing....

Lower the treble control and increase the bass. Long exposure to High Pitch damage your ear drum.
