My computer has a page pop up instead of my homepage that says I've been infected w/ w32.Myzor.Fk@yf and also Win3?MT.RS. There is a small yellow warning triangle in bottom right hand corner and a million antispyware/virus/scan ads. I've done research, but it all different opinions and is all confusing. I don't know much, but need simplistic help. My internet browser pages crash about every 3/4 mins. Some sites say it isn't a virus, etc., but a "rogue antispyware program that doesn't really exist." Help...please.

it is a rogue anti-spyware program that fakes a real one. it tells you that you;ve been infected and tries to coax you into buying the false program online. Get spybot search and destroy and get a free trend micro scan. it should get rid of it.

Whenever a program uses invasive techniques to alert you many times, be careful it could be a fake.

it's ironic that someone might actuall buy the program to rid themselves of spyware, when the thing that makes them buy it is a type of malware.

i know this infection. this is not actually a virus, it's spyware installed on your computer that shows you fake allerts. if you buy or download programs it suggests to you you will see that those programs are useless. it's a trick to make you buy that corrupted software. if you have some antispyware, run a scan and remove everything found. and if you don't use any, try spybot:
