I did the same thing.
Take the battery and sim card etc... out of the phone. If you have a small fan set all peices in front of it and don;t touch the phone for at least 24 hours. Mine worked just fine after that.

I have dropped three phones in water and all are working now. Take a hair drier and take the battery out of the phone. Open it if it is a flip phone. Lay the hair drier on it side on MEDIUM or LOW heat and position the phone about a foot away. Turn on the blower and let it run a stream of air on the phone for a good 1/2 to 1 hour rotating the phone in different positions. (may have to do this a couple times. Check the heat by putting your hand by the phone for a while to see just how hot it is getting. Put the battery back in and recharge and it will probably work.

Go back to the shop that you bought the cell phone and ask whether you still have a warranty. he or she may be able to give you a new phone with a longer contract but you have to calculate the amount before you sign a deal. I am sorry you lost your phone and I did lost my by dropping it. Good luck.

Nope, i don't do things like that.
But the key is to be patient, it can take a long time for something like that to dry out.
You may be lucky. Leave the phone untouched for a week, keep it somewhere warm and dry and in a week plug it in and hit the power button.

my brother dropped my phone in the pool once and it is dead. your phone is most likely completely shot and you'll have to get a new one. it also happened to my mom when she dropped her phone in a cup of coffee

i was told if you caught it in time you could just get a new battery and try that, but if it was submerged for a good period of time, i dont think there is much you can do, take the battery out asap,
and let it sit, try to find another battery and see what happens.

Sorry, but there's nothing to be done for your phone.
You'll need a new one, unless you want to take it apart and try to replace the damaged circuits, but it will probably be very difficult to find them.

pull out the battery ASAP and let it dry out. If you try to use it when the circuitry is wet it could cause permanent damage. Just do it now and let it dry out.
