When is a shot all about luck, and when is one all about skills?

Is a half court basket a skill shot or luck shot? full court?

Shots thatn someone practices all-day and all-night are more likely to be skill shots. Shots that randomly go in when there's absolutely no way it should've gone in are luck shots. When you practice a certain shot, your arms and body become accustomed to shooting that way on that particular shot; hence, when you shoot it, it's natural to you and it's a skill shot. For shots that are randomly thrown up there and are made, that's luck. So, unless a guy practices half court/full court shots all day to get the feel of how the ball is released from their arms, it's more than probably that any shot made like that is luck.

for skills shots, it take practices because you need to adapt to a good shooting form. once you in good shooting form then you will be able to make shots easier. it also require you to aim and adujust. but if you get foul and still make the shots in, then that's luck. lol it's like 70% skills 30% lucks in normal circumstances. half court and full court are just lucks. when a person made halfcourt shots and said " SKILLS " he just bsing you and being a bragger

When you can hit 20 threes in a row at practice, that's skill.

If you hit 1 shot out of every 10, that's luck.

All shots are skill shots.

there are some skill shots and some lucky ones.
the half court shot may be luck but it could also be a skill one.

Shooting is a skill. Some poor shooters get lucky occasionally. Good shooters shoot one-handed, lift the follow through and hold it until the ball hits the basket, and rarely miss to the left or right (they shoot the ball straight).

Some are lucky, like when the ball is circling around the rim (Yea, I know you didnt mean to do that ;) ) but most are definitely skilled.
