Although those aren't my favorite genres, I'd have to say listening to Award Tour by A Tribe Called Quest is a must if you like laid back old school Hip-Hop.

The song "Fidelity" by Regina Spektor (album: Begin to Hope) Her voice is high & girly... yet she has a quirky way of using it. Strong vocals & beautiful piano melodies in her album. Listen to it... you won't be sorry.

(POP) "loopy" by using Gnarls Barkley. between the very few solid songs of 2006 and it fairly is catchy as hell. (ROCK) "tell Me infant" by using pink warm Chili Peppers Their double album is fairly certainly one of the perfect album of 2006 (it is unusual)
