10-15 years ago I was in a high school with less than 300 kids.
-art/drama/freaks who were the same as the hippies, skaters and anyone who knew anything about any underground music scene at all (punk, goth, emo, hardcore) and the 'NIN kids' (trench coats, Nine Inch Nails/Marilyn Manson t-shirts) A lot of them were always on acid or smoked pot. All of them were anti-sports
-The Honor Society people and their friends who all had the same class schedule- the smart kids
-Anyone who played any sport at all because they were all the same kids playing each sport.
-the deadbeat kids who smoked 2 packs a day, had night jobs at 7-11, had tattoos and dropped out/got pregnant before graduation
There were also the loners/'losers' who had no friends so they kind of made up their own clique. Almost the entire school was in the band because we had fabulous band trips so it wasn't just a bunch of 'band geeks'

The goody-goody popular girls.
The wannabe emo-skater-punks.
The unpopulars.
The ones who don't care about school anymore.
The almost-populars.
The i-talk-back-to-the-teacher kids.
The kid who is all by himself laughing at all of the teacher's jokes and doing sound effects, but i guess he doesn't count as a clique.
