I am a 79 yr. old female.I had a cancerous kidney removed several years ago...All signs have been good since...However, i have had constant urinary tract infections, over this time, sometimes several times a year.I am constantly being prescribed Macrobid.I also take synthroid

On Jan 12/07 I had a pap smear from my gp. I have ANOTHER urinary tract infection. I saw my oncologist on Jan 15/07 who told me that my white blood cell count was a little high in my last blood work ( a week previously). He suggested that I may have had an infection, and that could be the reason for this...Could the pap smear be related to this infection?. How could my gp have missed it, as it was obviously there prior to the pap smear, which my oncoclogist agrees..

I am back on macrobid again!and along with this I am suffering from sometimes uncontrollable leakage which has a urine smell.!am wear panty liners, and at times the leak goes through alI I am wearing. It burns and is uncomfortable HELP!

I have Multiple Sclerosis, and am plagued with bladder and kidney infections, so I sympathize with you. My Urologist, finally put me on an antibiotic, where I take one daily.

Try drinking cranberry juice (not the artificial) and plain water.
