If you are going by an ultrasound to determine your baby's weight it can be WAY off. I had a c-section based on my doctor's prediction that my first baby was over 10 pounds and he ended up weighing 8 pounds even - and I felt that I had an unnecessary c-section. Just wait a few weeks (a 36 weeker is NOT full-term and she could have serious complications from being born too early!) and either let her come naturally or talk to your doctor about an induction.

Stop being selfish. This is a time to think of the being inside you and not of yourself. The baby will come when shes ready and if she has not arrived by 38-40 weeks the doctors will suggest the next action. Until then enjoy the life inside you and stop thinking of ways to get her out. Weight has nothing to do with it and the longer she stays in you the better chances she has of survival outside the womb. Also, I'm not going to tell you the name because I don't want you to be stupid and attempt taking this but there is an oil that you can take that will bring on labor and if anyone suggests it, because sooner or later someone will, please do not take it. It's dangerous for you and very dangerous for the baby. Its promised to work within 24 hours and I know of this by personal experience, two friends both took the oil and both had their babies within 6 hours of taking it. These two women took it together and one was 37 weeks and one was almost 39 weeks along. One child choked on its meconium and did not make it, the other was in the NICU for 2 weeks. Final words. Don't be impatient and selfish. and wait for this baby to come into the world on her own.

She's too little to be born right now.
I'm assuming you're going by ultrasound weight, which can be off by up to 2 lbs. If you go into labor now, there is a large chance her lungs and immunity system will not be fully developed.
She'll come when she is ready to. You've made it this far, what's a few more weeks?

You could go another 4 weeks and still be within your due date though, couldn't you? She may be heavy enough, but just not quite ready yet. You could try brisk walks, or warm baths...no stimulants like coffee (that can stall labor)...and hope for the best. I know you're anxious...heck I'm anxious and I'm only 3 months along! LOL! Hang in there. With this sort of thing, it's GOING to happen eventually! Good luck and congrats!

Ultra-sound prediction (that's what it is an estimate) is very inaccurate!!!
Also 36 weeks is not considered term...That is very early to have the baby! It will not be good for either of you to give birth. Everyday that baby stays in you is a day she needs!! Needs to get bigger & stronger & healthier to survive out of your womb.
Try to be more patient!!! Average pregnancy with prior birth are 40 weeks 3 days & you can pass that by 2 weeks safely! Give her & you the best shot you can by waiting!!! Induction increases your risk of needing a c-section which can come with a whole bunch of complications.
Just keep walking & drink raspberry tea...She will come when your body & baby are ready!

36-42 wks is usually considered full term, and as long as you don't do anything drastic (caster oil is bad) you should be ok, just keep in mind these things wont work unless the baby is really ready....
1) Drink parsley tea. just buy some dried parsley and boil it for a while. strain and drink. You should drink a glass every few hours. it doesn't taste great but its not horrible either.
2) Use an exercise ball. You can get them at wal-mart for pretty cheap. Just sit on it and roll your hips around in circles back and forth ect. I used to sit on mine while watching tv. It will help the baby move down and get into birthing position. it will also rub on your cervix and stimulate and help it dilate.
3) walk. this does the same thing as the exercise ball....
4) Have sex. Not gentle love making, but full on banging (sorry to be graphic but its true) this does two things, 1 it stimulates the cervix, 2 sperm has a chemical in it that helps to ripen the cervix.
5) Don't stress. This can delay labor and make it last much longer.....
Good Luck I hope I helped :)

A lot times ultrasound weights aren't right. Also first child was just 3 weeks early and he had some problems with his lungs because they weren't fully developed. They need those extra weeks to finish development. By the way they were way off on the weight of my 2nd child also.

dont try to bring on labor just because your baby is already 6 lbs. that doesn't mean the lungs are mature enough for the baby to breath without problems after birth. my biggest child was 9lb 8oz completely natural birth. the ultra sounds are not always accurate also your 6lb baby may actually only be 5lbs.

I wouldn't go by the ultrasound weight. I had to get that done a few times cause of my gestational diabetes and they were way off.... they thought I was going to have a 9lb baby... my son came out at 7.13.....
Good luck it will happen when the baby is ready to come out!!
Eat something spicy... I ate mexican the day I went into labor and a bumpy car ride.... so is it true??? HA HA HA!

How do you know how much your baby weighs? My friends doctor told her how much her baby weighed before delivery and she delivered a 3lb baby and a whole lot of amniotic fluid, the doctor misjudged the ultrasound and was wrong, plus her baby ending up having down syndrome and she didn't have any warning! Ultrasounds are not 100 percent accurate, don't jeopardize your babies life, I mean at this point your baby will survive, but still be cautious.
