Masterbate, or going for a good 20 or 30-minute jog (do NOT stop running - go non-stop) right before "the event" (whatever you're nervous about)... anything that will essentially tire you out a bit. You'll be relaxed and basically too tired to be nervous. A bunch of sit-ups or push-ups or something like that. Sounds sill, I know. But just try it one time with something else, and see how it works.

Try meditation, there are a lot of great sites, but if you want to try an easy one, sit alone in the quiet, and in a cmfy position, take a deep breath in say in 1 breathe out say out 1 and so on........ just concentrate on your breathing and nothing else, try not to let your mind wander, count to 100 and you should feel better, you should do this twice a day every day to give your mind a rest

,Be Prepared!! When you are prepared you will not be nervous. A date, look good, smell nice, be yourself. A presentation be prepared, study the facts, speech, be yourself, A anything refer back to date, presentation, BE PREPARED, and you will have no reason to be nervous.

Well when I was in college I would get up early and ride the bike at the gym for a hour, it always worked and kept me calm. Left school only failed one exam a 66% on a pediatrics exam and a 3.43 gpa in ursing, so I think it works.

just always remember this is a good thing, everyone feel nervous at their first.
your second time or so forth might not be so exciting anymore and you'll miss the feeling. just enjoy the feeling, its the reaction of the mind from something that has not yet been ventured.

Take a deep breath and count to ten. Do it as often as you need when you get nervous.
