its because two girls like eachother!!! thats messed up, sailor moon is the best anime ever.......... thats so stupid!

I think it was because a other anime got higher ratings so they took it off. I was sad also. I was 5 years old

It actually was not because Haruka (Sailor Uranus) and Michiru (Sailor Neptune) liked each other (which they twisted around strangly in the american version) this actually has nothing to do with why it was cancelled.
The main reason being because a few years back the liscensing of sailor moon ran up and no company decided to pick it up again and if no one has a lisences to a series it can't be played on TV. And this is basically because it is thought that the fandom of sailor moon is over and there was no need to spend more money to liscened it agian, therefore, it ended and broadcasting ended.

Two reasons were given. The first was that the series told itself out. The other is that these shows last about three years and are replaced with the New Kid on the Block (so to speak)

It being the thirteenth of the month after 13 years seems slightly fishy.

remember. SAILOR MOON was originated in japan. so it really didn't get taken off the air. it ended.
