They do an ok job. You're not painting a Porsche or anything, right? For cheap cars they do fine. Just be sure to chose a simple color...black, white for example. Stay away from the brighter colors as you will probably be disappointed in what you get.

Everything is relative. Relatively speaking, you get a really good paint job FOR THE MONEY at MAACO. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. If a $500.00 paint job is what you want then you really can't beat MAACO (by the way, AAMCO fixes transmissions). A QUALITY paint job is going to cost you nearly $2,000.00. A decent auto refinisher can't even buy the materials to paint your car for $500.00. Beauty cost money....how good do you want to look?

We use Dupont, Sikkens, or homestead of colour reckoning on the job and that they could use Sherman williams or duplicolor. G) No prep artwork if any is complete it fairly is barely sufficient to get paint to stick H) they only use single point paint/ tooth not the present 2 /3 point paints. don't get me incorrect you may get a intense-high quality good colour or metalic seem with a singlestage/tooth yet whilst the ought to do a 2/3 point job the cost is lots up there whilst in comparison with their wide-unfold jobs I) The Maaco in my area is so undesirable on prep artwork I even have seen them prep a automobile by using washing it with Ajax and then declared it exchange into waiting for paint.

One difference in why the paint job is cheep i in the details. MAACO tapes off emblems, door handles, moldings etc... insted of removing them cutting the cost. Also the car is generally given a quick scuff and not all of the imperfections are repaired leaving it prone to poor adhesion. The brand of paint used and the kind of paint ( laquer, base clear...) makes a difference in the final product.

The MAACO shop in Fresno has a good reputation and I have friends that have had their cars done there. Best way is to ask around and check out their work.

It depends on how long you're going to keep the car. If you want something that lasts, then no. You get what you pay for, and a paint job, unfortunately, is not cheap. Shop around carefully for such an investment.
