Not really. Generally 800MHz is a Pentium III or Athlon classic, or a Celeron or Duron based on one of those. It's about a 5-6 year old processor. Clock speed isn't everything- the architecture the CPU is based on also matters, but there aren't any modern desktop or laptop processors with a max speed as low as 800MHz.

800 MHz means 1/800*10^6. hertz = 1/time. so calculate, how fast your Computer processor is? But one more thing that, your processor may be fast, but if the bus speed( the group of wires carries the data) is slow, then the computer will become slow, though you may have a faster processor

By nowadays standards that is indeed not fast.
If your computer has a 800Mhz processor it sounds like it was made in the early to mid 90's.
If you look at most computers coming out today you'll notice that the dual core processors (which is in fact two processors on the computer) each processor is clocking in at around 1.85 Ghz, which alone is more than two times as fast as that 800 Mhz processor. Then you have to multiply that by two since theres two cores, so you are looking at something like today's computers are working about 4-5 times faster than the one you describe in your question.

well, I hope you do not plan to play any new games. You could not even play Doom 3. The 800 MHz is good if you just want to check your mail and do some typing or just cruise the internet. Nowadays, you need a computer with at least 2.8 GHz compared to your 800 MHz ( .8 GHz) if you want to play the newest games or use the newest programs.

Hey there Dude,
That is about a 5 or 6 year old processor. It is fast for some things. Right now, they have 3.8 dual core. +
