i know its an old game but i like it
what month is it best to leave in and what else can i do to beat it please help!

Leave in April and be sure to take enough amo, clothes and ox. You can always hunt for more food so starting with a ton of food isnt totally necessary.
You beat it by making it all the way to Oregon, and if you make it go ahead and say hi since I live there, lol. If anyone in your party gets hurt or sick be sure to rest for a few days.

I'd always died... either by dysentary,injury or a gunshot, pillaged by indians ,attacked by a bull, oxen mutany, drowned, i think my problem was i was always a banker that bought just ammo and bought jerky....
... which now doesnt make sense.....
now i know why my 2nd grade teacher would always laugh when i played that game

i freakin love that game sadly i never finished it......the best time to leave is on a hot day when its windy
