What about using names that have been in your family. A middle name, at least, that is handed down from either parent's family. A good point was made, consider whether it will be misspelled or misunderstood. A child has enough problems in getting used to school, playmates, without having a difficult name!

Anna Marie. While the big trend is to use names that are new and interesting, there is something about having a traditional name. Is alot easier on a child during their teenage years, no one mispronouces the names, and you can find it when looking for items with your name pre printed.

How do they sound w/your surname? I personally like the name Sarah Rebecca for a girl or Jacob for a boy. Congratulations on your baby

Pick names that mean something to you, not just ones you like. This child has to live with whatever label you give it. It should be proud of its name.

I think the names shouldn't have to come with proper pronunciation. Do you know how hard it will be for that child to go through life correcting everyone who tries to talk to them?
