My girlfriend and I were talking about movies that we watched when we were kids and we can't remember the name of one. It had animals as the characters and it was set in a forest. There was a badger that was their teacher and he taught them to be afraid of the highwaythat ran through the forest. Well, a semi-tanker crashed on the highway and spilled a toxic gas that made the youngest animal sick. Then the other animals had to go on an adventure to a mountain where the herb to make the antidote grew. They had to make a flying machine to reach the herb and then they used the machine to fly home but ended up crashing into some telephone wires. Please help cuz this is really bugging us!

Once Upon a Forest is a 1993 animated film, directed by Charles Grosvenor and released by 20th Century Fox, with an environmental theme. Three anthropomorphic rodents go on an expedition to find medicine for their friend, a sick badger.
Despite being made for children, it has a few things that might be considered a little too grave for the genre. For example, animals are shown being suffocated by poisonous fumes, and it is more than implied that a very large number do not survive

Oh, it's "Once Upon a Forest". I used to love that movie. I always felt so bad for the little animals and mad at the stupid humans. Thanks for making me remember it!

I do not recall this childrens movie at all. Sounds like a horror flick you watched while smoking a stiff one if you ask me. Sorry I can not help you! Let me know what the answer is though!
