Hey Dude,

Is there a power switch on the power supply? If so, turn it on.

To test the power supply, to see if it works, you need to jumper the only Green wire with ANY black wire in the 20/24 pin block. If the power supply is good, it will power up. If it is not, the power supply will do nothing.

So, if it does work, look for another problem.

Make sure when you are testing the power supply that you do not have any other components plugged in.

Sometimes, if you have the ribbon cables put on backwards, hard drives are prevented from spinning up and stop the power from even being applied.

Along with the above, sometimes there is a switch that is an on/off switch on the back of the power supply. If there is one, trip it to the other direction. Then try starting.

Check all your cables, make sure the power is plugged into your mother board...make sure memory is totally installed into the bays (you should hear a click when they are installed properly)...If this does not work...start from scratch....plug only the power into the motherboard and the memory, see if it gets power. If it does, slowly start adding the other parts.
The harddrive's ribbon has a red mark on it, make sure the red stripe is closest to the plug for the power to your harddrive. make sure the hard drive is set to master (pins on the hard drive).

This is how you test it

unplug all the stuff you put in the mother board only left the power supply and the processor plug on your mother board if both mother board and power supply works ok then it should powerup. good luck in testing it
