From the Pogo Help site:

If you have Windows 98 or ME and you have the latest version of Sun Java, then you may encounter a problem with sound not working in our games. We suggest you uninstall and disable Sun Java and use MS Java instead. Please click this link for instructions (http://eapogo.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eapogo.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=6277)

If, after you've updated your Java, your sound in the games is still not working, make sure that the sound button in the game shows a 'speaker' with curved lines coming out of the speaker. If there are no curved lines in front of the speaker symbol, the sound has been disabled. If there are curved lines in front of the speaker, you may have another program running in the background (i.e. - CD player) that uses sound.

Finally, older sound cards can't do more than one thing at a time, and other programs that use sound (CD/MP3 players, chat programs, etc.) usually get priority over the games by the sound card. Turning off other programs that use sound will make sure that the sounds from the game get played by your sound card.

This isn't a programming query. Try asking in "Software" - you could have extra success discovering an reply there, because it might be the proper class for the query. Rawlyn.
