I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer over thirty times. Usually, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it (a washcloth, sponge, or anything that will allow you to apply moist heat to the area), and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, rinse it with warm water, blot off the excess water with a clean towel, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Here are some of the previous comments I cut and pasted from those who voted it as the best answer, (Copied and pasted as written. Capital letters seen are as originally answered)

Since Proactiv isn't working for you, try getting Clearasil at a near by store. Also if you want a homemade acne solution.Get an aspirin and crush it then add water.

Try not to stress too much. Every time you get a good workout and are dripped in sweat. Wash your face right away, because if you let the sweat dry it will make your skin oily and the pores will close.

Never pick your acne because that actually spreads the bacteria inside the acne and helps form new ones. If you do "pop" a pimple you should use Neutrogena: Rapid Clear- Acne eliminating gel. It works!!!

NEVER EVER use more than I'd say two products to wash your face. Unless you're using soap and water. Because the chemicals will dry out your skin.

Good luck
:]

Proactive only works for some people. My dermatologist told me to wash my face 3 times a day and it is good that all the dead skin cells are removed. I started using St. Ives Apricot Scrub for blackheads and blemishes. IT IS AMAZING..... I am in college and all the girls on my floor have switched to it!! My face was horrible and I don't plan on going back to the doctor because my face is not only flawless but baby butt soft!! I hope this helps you

Drink green tea , and use tea tree oil 2 times a day. Do cleansing scrubs ( st Ives) daily before the tea tree oil and use wipes with witch hazel during the day. Believe me it will help.

Cut out sugar and greasy foods from your diet.

Use hypo allergetic make-up and don't pick at your zits.

everybody has different skin, personally proactive never worked on my skin and i didn't think it was worth the money, i know some people where proactive has worked wonders and others where it just made their skin worse. my dermatologist says that all of the store acne product are the same. i use head and shoulders on by shoulders and on my face ( i used to have really bad acne) but it cleared it all up cheaply, my dermatologist had put me on strong medication like differin and tazorac but it never worked, you just have to find what works on you skin the best. toothpaste and Listerine work on almost every1's

dove bar soap works reallyyyy good for me. so does dial. i have clear skin an its cuz of dove. i used to pay so much a week for fash wash and cleasners and what not but dove works wonders. also if you have a zit you can put toothpaste on it to dry it. also you can dab rubbing alcohol on it an it will dry it up super quick . also take a hot rag and put it on the zit and hold it there for a lilttle bit then wash/rinse your face with cool water. i hope this helped !! :] good luck

Proactive worked for me for about a month and then stopped working. I now use the Murad Acne line which works alot better!

I've heard a lot of bad things about ProActiv. I myself have used it before and quit shortly after. I have five boxes sitting under my sink.

my cousin hates proactive cuz it didn't help her acne at all, but then she started using Murad and now her face is clearing up really quickly. But you should go to a Sephora, let them evaluate your skin type and recommend products for you, plus they give you free samples! good luck!

Try some other product, but if that does not work go see a dermatologist.
