Definitely chillers. That requires effort from the filmmakers to create a good, unpredictable story; then make the mood, and atmosphere to draw you in.

It's too easy to do what most filmmakers are doing now a days. Let's gross the audience out, or have cheap "jump in the seat" moments... voila, it's a horror film. Uh, no. It might be in the "horror" genre because of the subject matter, but is a truly scary movie? Not for me.

I am a bit old fashioned - I liked all the "B" movies from the late 40s and 50s and really enjoyed the Hammer films from the 60s and 70s. The new movies are way too graphic and intense for an old phart like me!

I basically like A. but both of them are good. If you like A. I request you to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Begininng it's really gory at some parts but a fantastic movie, I cannot see how Yahoo! Movies gave it a D. E-mail me about your comments about the movie, if you decide to watch it. My e-mail address is cootiesr4guys@yahoo.com
Thanks
