Apple or IBM thinkpad?

I need a new pc. Tired of having pc windows problems, tired of Toshiba warranty service. I love my toshiba, currently have my second one. But the service providers suck. Having asked around and shopped around, I'm uncertain to buy either a MacBook or a IBM Thinkpad.

I'll say MacBook
I might suggest a book like O'Reilly's "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, Tiger Ed" or "Mac OS X for Dummies." They're good beginner manuals that give you a full tour of the system and so on. The best way to get what you want though is to just learn through experience. Figure out what works best for you, there are many ways to configure your system, but I'm sure you know that.Good luck to ya!

computing device easily for top regularly occurring performance and gaming.... you wont get any virus except your a operating laptop or laptop newb Apple is for novices/non tech-y ppl. Macs are large too yet on situation that your prepared to pay in basic terms about double the cost of a computing device for the similar specs... some manufacturers contain HP, Toshiba, Dell, and so on and so on

i have both no biggy
they just act a little different , PC is easier to get repaired apple has less virus attacks, both are great but you must treat them like the money you pay for them, now if your talking laptop apple has one so large you can read it across the street smooth.
a little to much coin or it would be my choice hands down.

To the comment above:

people with Macs can't be happier. they don't have a choice. you dont buy two laptops and then decide which one you like and return the other. so saying someone with a mac is happier is wrong.

if you said people prefer macs, or "my friend says he enjoys a mac more", then that's alright.

I'm a pc person, and I would look into a dell laptop, they're reliable and cheap

Macs are aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. PCs are cheaper.
