Very good question even though it is a loaded one.
The fear around extremist Muslems is not real. It has been molded for the American ppl. What I mean is that ever since Bush came into office, he has convinced the American ppl that ppl of the nation of Islam want to harm us. Of course the ppl with some since recognize that is only a few... I'm just explaining it as a propaganda tool.

If you believe that all this started with the nuts in caves, you may have forgot about other incidents . These terrorists groups attacked British planes, our embassy in Sudan, attacked our warship in Somalia. Others took hostages in Iran.
The attacks on US soil on 9-11-01 brought the threat closer to home. The world demanded that those responsible be brought to justice. There were more than just Americians killed in those attacks.
The world for the most part didn't take them seriously till then, including previous presidents.
These people believe that you, me, and others who don't follow their strict code of relgious beliefs, are worthless to Allah and deserve to died. They believe that they are doing Allah a favor sorting us out in advance.
They also teach that dying while doing it brings them into favor with Allah. But the thing is that their leaders pumpup the new recuirts, send them on their way to die. If it's all so great to die doing Allah's will, let them be a leader and lead them into battle. No they cower in caves...
The attacks continue in other parts of the world still today, in Europe, Asia, Africa. It's not just our war or just our enemy, it's the world's enemy. Most of the countries world are on the lookout for possible attacks.
The US is the most powerful nation in the world, and anything we can do to reduce this threat to the US and the world, we need to do. We aren't doing it alone, it may seem that way.
A note to those who believe Bush started it all, planned the attacks on our shores. You are as nutty as the people in those caves. But atleast hear you can say the nutty things, with them you buy a bullet.
Bush didn't start the fight, but he wasn't afraid to take to the terrorists. It may not have all worked as planned, but he didn't just send a few missles in and say we're even.
If you wonder whos afraid, ask who is doing the hidding?

Because they are looking to take a nuke, smuggle it into a city and kill a few million people at one shot just for the hell of it. Of course, an act like that, with the liklihood it would happen again, would cause the US to pretty much sterilize every living thing in the middle east and round up and execute every muslim in the country (and if you don't think that is exactly what would happen, you are VERY naive). That is a VERY bad outcome. Millions of innocents killed. Billions of muslims killed. That is what WWIII will look like. Better to root out the terrorists and kill those specifically trying to do this. Far better.

Quite simply the nuts hidding in the cave can be dangerous. It is wise and prudent to dispose of your enemy. What those crazies in the cave have started will last decades and cost hundred of thousands of lives before it is ended. If there is a god.... I hope he finds room in his heart for these very, very, sick people.

We are not afraid of religious nuts in caves. They flew airplanes into the twin towers and caused havoc among our nation. We are trying to find them and kill them or punish them by putting them on trial.

It bothers us they can't get multi-acre homesteaded tax exempt compounds like the religious nuts here. Why the caves huh? Big free open spaces, air condition, cable, microwaves, surround sound and motherf-ing limosines ain't good enough for ya. You got something against Jesus punk? Why the f'ing caves man?! welll.. I'm sitting in my Lazy-boy recliner, watching UNC playing Clemson.. munching on hot wings in a 70 degree house in January. Osama.. if he's still alive.. is in cave in Pakistan at 7000 feet.... 10 degrees.. eating trail mix and yak jerky.. worrying about the blood in his pee every day. I think I'll sleep better tonight than Osama will.
