melts rock, wouldn’t the lava melt the volcano?

Lava doesn't melt all rock.
The volcano is also made of the same rock as the lava. However, when magma is coming up the volcano, it probably melts some- but it's coming up in a few channels and only softens/melts the rock around it, which is very little compared with the volume of the whole volcano. Then when it cools, it adds to the volcano's mass anyway.

So it melts just some of what it touches, which isn't very much.

No, lava is silica based and has a lower melting point then the rock around it.

no, because lava doesnt actually melt rock, it is molten rock. if lava melted rock eacth would have collapsed into itself by now

i dont think so becuse volcano is not exactly rock its more like dirt, hard dirt.
