Uhm... Why do you think he was named after Saddam, considering that saddam was a nobody when he was born?

This just proves who stupid some people really are.

Obama was born some 45 years ago. Saddam was a young boy when Obama was born, he was not Saddam's namesake.
Hussein is a very common name in Islam. Obama's father was a muslim native of Kenya, not Iraq or any Mid-east country.

I agree with those who say that this is a right-wing conspiracy to discredit the man that they are probably most afraid of, as he has what it takes to be a great candidate and even greater president.

I am voting for Obama!

He wasn't named after Saddam-- it's a popular name, and Saddam wasn't even in his prime when Barack was born. Do the math and be smart.

Barack has a lot going for him in this presidential race; I do not think his name is going to be a major issue for him.

And I will vote for him. Regardless of what anyone says, I wholeheartedly believe that my vote counts.

In the words of Bill Shakespeare... "What's in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet." I mean come on, is this a serious question or are you just trying to stir the pot here? What if his name was Johnny McHardwork... or Joe Conservative... or Fred Poopypants? Would any of those have anything to do with him being a hard worker? How about being a conservative? Or maybe he's incontinent? If this really is a serious question, I honestly fear for our nation's future. Voting for or against someone because of their name is just plain ignorant.

i don't settle for the concept of your question. yet i % 10 factors for a perfect answer. So i will answer your incorrect question, in hopes you will evaluate this answer for 10 factors(no i won't be able to do from now on favors for you). ok, so Obama chosen Hussein as his center call because of the fact he's boastful. boastful sufficient to risk his Presidential possibilities against an American public who hates Husseins. And yet, his conceitedness did not harm him. He gained the Presidency(miraculously). So, i assume, he's a God of varieties.

I would only vote for Barack Obama if he came from the same city I reside in because I only vote for a Democratic candidate for President if they came from the same town I live in. The only execption I would make for that is Hillary Clinton because I do not want her to become the President of the United States of America.

Yes, I would vote for him. You would have to be pretty uneducated, unsophisticated, and easily swayed to base your decision on a family name.
And if I do not vote for him, it will have nothing to do with his name.

Let's hope that future candidates with the name 'Bush' do not suffer this.
