Sure........get her the ice cream but hold it front of her and have her chase you for at least 1/4 of a mile before giving it to her-gradually work her up to a mile or more jog before the ice cream treat and this ought to solve the "chubby" issue. It probably wouldn't hurt you to exercise a little yourself :)

That one bowl of ice cream isn't going to make or break her. If you are truly concern with her weight, then suggest that you guys take long walks together. Or, tell her you want to get in better shape for the New Years and suggest she join you. That way she isn't feeling like you are judging her, but rather you simply want to spend more time with her.

I think you don't deserve to be married to her. If you really loved and desired her for who she is, you wouldn't care about her weight. I would suggest you get her a full bowl of ice cream
and have some yourself, too.
Mentioning her weight is 1. Sure to hurt her feelings. 2. Cause her to lose self esteem because she thinks you don't desire her anymore even if you say you do. 3. Cause her to try something drastic and unhealthy to lose the extra weight (which might only be fluid retention due to hormone imbalance) 4. Cause her to feel anger and resentment towards you because you are supposed to love and desire her unconditionally and you are bringing up a trivial weight issue which indicates that you don't really feel that way about her at all.
My first husband started picking on me about my weight gain.
It was due to a medical problem that can't be cured. He was just insensitive and uncompassionate, at first. Then it escalated into
intolerant and emotionally abusive. Finally, he turned physically abusive because he didn't like having a fat wife even though there wasn't much I could do about it.
I ended up having him arrested and jailed for the abuse and then divorced him.

Be a good husband and just get her the ice cream. And be more respectful to your wife.

Question, why doesn't she just get the ice cream herself?
Either way, her being "a little chubby" shouldn't be the issue here.

Yes, looks aren't everything. Let her enjoy some ice cream and work it off later in the bedroom.

I started to get a little heavy at one point and when I'd ask my hubby to get something for me he would make pig sounds. So I slimmed down, left him and now its not a problem. Get her the ice cream just dont MOOOOO at her.
