Personally I am not a fan, but in America, I believe NASCAR is the fastest growing sport. And all you Europeans who are all about soccer think that Beckham dude will bring soccer into America's most favorite sports...you are so wrong. Americans believe soccer to be a whimp's sport and the opposite of football (unquestionably the most popular sport in America). Kids play soccer today just to be able to do something. Lacrosse is also fast growing and i guess rugby, paintball, and if you can count poker as a sport are also among the fastest growing sports in America.

Well it all depends on the season:
Fall: Football (American football your soccer)
Marching Band- (I am not sure if you have this or consider it a sport so I will give you a brief summary) Marching Band is a sport for those that play instruments. It is a combination of various marching techniques. There are either competitions or shows that the Marching Band plays at. They also play during football games to cheer the crowd and their football team on.
Field Hockey

Winter- Ice Hockey

Spring- Soccer (American Soccer)

Summer- Baseball, Softball and Tee ball (the last is for the younger kids)

World Class Texas Hold 'em Poker and lacrosse.

Soccer reached it's peak with the US years ago.
Kids play it now for a form of recreation exercise.

Soccer but it's only a kick in the grass and as every body knows the daft yanks will only try and change the game to suit themselves as when the world cup went there some years ago and the knob heads wanted to make the goal posts wider so it would be more interesting Dur?????

i would say lacrosse mainly on the west coast(it was already big on the east coast) many teams have started to pop up in california and many of my friends play it is quickly growing with boys, girls, and adults
