Yes, four of a kind beats a full house. The only way a full house would be a four of a kind is if you're playing deuces wild and you have two two's and three of something else (which would be five of a kind).

Full house does not beat 4 of a kind. #1 and 2 beats four of kind.
1. Royal Flush (10-Ace Same Suit)
2. Straight Flush (Straight, same suit)
3. 4 Kind
4. Full House
5. Flush (5 same suit)
6. Straight
7. 3 Kind
8. 2 Pair
9. Pair
10. High Card

Everyone already said that 4 of a kind beats a full house and that a straight or royal flush beat 4 of a kind. However, I want to add that with wild cards, 5 of a kind beats 4 of a kind.
