I used contacts for 10 yrs (got lasik)
Here are some tips :D
1.I used acuvue, they were really comfortable, takes a little practice to put them in and stuff. Once you get the hang of it (if you're a girl) you can even have nails, just be very careful not too rip the contact or scratch your eye.
2. When you first use contacts, your view might seem a little funny....kinda like it moves...it's normal, just your eyes adjusting to them.
3. Color contacts are great BUT if you have sensitive eyes, I recommend starting off with clear ones, color seem thicker.
4. Always carry your eyes drops because your eyes get dry or if it feel a little uncomfortable....drops helps a lot.
5. Around the house try wearing your glasses (to let your eyes rest) and DO NOT sleep with them, unless it's the ones that you leave on all the time.
6 always be super clean, wash your hands before putting them on or taking them off.
7 Other than that....if dont have extremely DRY eyes, you're contacts (or your friend's ) are going to feel so comfortable.
Good Luck :D

There are lots of different kinds. Her eye doc will work with her and give her all the info she needs, but in the meantime I'd do a bit of online searching. Try "contact lenses" in the search bar.
Mine are "30 day" contacts, meaning I can sleep in them and not take them out for up to 30 days if I like. Other contacts are made to be taken out nightly and put into cleaning/disinfecting solution. Some contacts are "hard" and others are "soft". They come in clear or in eye-color-changing shades.
Good luck!

I love my contacts! It took me a month or two to really get the hang of them but 2 years later I don't even notice them when I am wearing them and I can see perfect! They are also great for sports, especially baseball like I play.

Contacts are great - just takes a while to learn how to put them in. And make sure that you clean your hands before putting them in and that you use the correct cleaners and sterilisers so as to cause problems with the eyes.
Means you can put makeup on and see what you are doing

heyys. i wear corrective contact lens [hard lense]. the kind I wear is hard so the material is amde out of the material between glass and plastic. contact lens: need special training[it took me 25 hours to train:D]. there are actually 2 kinds: soft and hard lens. most people start with hard lens. the one you wear in daylight or when you are wake usually keeps your eye degrees[or vision blurr] from going up. the one where you wear in nightime[some people cannot wear this] is more expensive but it helps you ALOT. for most people, it actually makes your vision better. i have the night one and i take it off in the morning. it may take time. once i take it off, i can see perfectly well. if you get contact, WASH IT WELL.
soo, some people cannot wear contact lens. its better for your eyes to get contact lens, but it may be much more expensive than eyeglasses. but contact lens work for me and my friends. if you get contact lens, dont be scared. it may hurt on the first time you wear it. but the next day [for me], it felt like nothing and it was very comfy. you may want to ask your eye doctor which is better for your eyes according to your vision blurriness and everything. your eyes are very important~choose wisely!HOPE THIS HELPS:D

I do. O2 Optix. They're quite comfortable for up to a month. The pair I'm wearing now I've been wearing since Thanksgiving. They last longer if you use a reconditioning solution such as Opti-Free. I think they're better for people who are near-sighted and do alot of driving or TV watching.

interior the 1st image, they way they're reflecting the gentle makes them look extra opaque (to boot to that, your pupils are shrunk and the seen ring of organic iris is extra famous that's in all probability many times is. notwithstanding if, interior the 2d image that's seemless. the colour itself is staggering sufficient that i might ask your self whether it have been for sure, yet not because of the fact it appears that evidently man made... purely because of the fact human beings have a tendency to assume that brighter/extra staggering colours are not organic.

Well I have worn them for years and I absolutely hate them. I hate sticking my finger in my eye, I hate that when I take them out I get headaches. they also suck because they are expensive. The worst problem that just takes the cake is it feels like clay slapped in your eyeball and your eyes hurt alot and you can't swim in them, especially salt water. ( I live in Florida). But hey if all that is worth seeing and always having to put eye drops in your eyes like a million times a day, well, then enjoy.
