I have never seen a cow laying on the ground and i wanted to know do they sleep standing?

They sleep standing because they are not agile enough to get up after laying down.

both, this morning half my 100 cows were laying on the ground and they do sleep standing up

Cows often lie on the ground in bad weather; young calves often sleep on the ground, as well.
