I had delivered my son when he was just over 6 weeks premature. He did have a few complications but he is fine and healthy now. He came home from the hospital at 13 days old. I would ask my doctor about the shots. It wouldnt hurt anything. It's not likely though that because you had twins early you will have your next child early. It's also not likely that because you got pregnant so soon after that you will deliver early either. My sister and I are not even a year apart. We are the same age for one month. My sister was born ontime I was premature. She is younger then me.
When I went to he hospital to have my son I asked them if he would be ok. They told me that they have no special nursery there and don't deliver babies that are premature more then 8 weeks because they are not equipped to handle such preemies but most babies that are born after 34 weeks are generally cleared to go home shortly after birth.
I hope everything goes well with your delievery and wow you have your hands full now hehehe. Good Luck.

Chances of survival are: at 24 weeks - 60%, at 28 weeks - 98%, at 32 weeks 99%. However, between 24 - 32 weeks there is a great chance of brain damage. Anyways, don't worry, if your baby is born now, he will be fine. And by the way, if you get pregnant 6 weeks after giving natural birth, your body is fine with it.... it takes longer after a C-section, about a year. And twins are generally born earlier, 36 weeks is actually good, so the chances are this baby will be born in full term.

Yes those will help with the lungs but ask your dr about the shots too . I had my son at 34 weeks and had the shots a few days before I went into labor. He was 5 lbs and 2 oz and was perfectly healthy. He went home with me 2 days later just like a full term baby. Im now 30 weeks pregnant with my 4th and had to get the shots again a few weeks back because of preterm labor signs.

I am 23 weeks and my doctor told me that next month if my baby is born it will have a 99 percent chance of survival. So I think you are good, they will give you those shots once they check the babies heartrate and stuff, just relax, I know that's hard, I don't want my baby to come early either, especially after watching special delivery on the discovery channel.

I think that should you go into pre-term labor (unless your water breaks) they will put you on hospital bed rest & try their best to stop labor. I have heard that with every week past 28 the chances of survival increase! I really think it depends on the condition the baby is in when born & the care that is provided as well & educating yourself with as much information as possible!

Very good. They can do so much with premature babies these days. I know your worried about it, and with good reason, but if your baby was born now, he/she would be alright. Proably just some extra time in the hospital. Take care.
