Help with a dilution problem?

what volume of 2M HCI is required to prepare 500mL of 0.1 HCI?

Please show your work. I am still trying to figure out how to do this type of problem. =)

Sorry I left out the M on 0.1.

volume (1) x conc (1) = Vol. (2) x Conc. (2) is the formula to use.

(500 ml) x (0.1M) = V x 2M

V = 25 ml
